Aston, Nancy Wilhelmine Reed:
Passed away peacefully at Winston Park Retirement Village on March 18, 2017 at the age of 94.

Beloved wife of the late Roland Thomas Aston, to whom she had been married for 66 years when he passed away in 2007. Loving mother of Christopher Aston (Jane Murdoch Adams) of Toronto and Karen Aston (Terry McDougall) of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Laura and Madeleine McDougall. Step-grandmother of Riley Adams (Lesley Parker) of Toronto. Predeceased by her parents Howard McAnlis Reed and Edith Bechtel Reed, and by her brother Howard Marshall Reed and sisters Ruth Marion Reed and Anna Margaret (Peggy) Mehlenbacher. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy's joy was the writing of poetry. She was insightful and talented, and won a number of awards. She was published in local newspapers and magazines and made gifts of her poems to many people she loved.

The family wishes to convey many heartfelt thanks to the staff at Winston Park Retirement Home and to the CCAC care partners who made her final days peaceful and comfortable.

A memorial service will be held at Winston Park Retirement Home, 695 Block Line Rd, Kitchener, on Friday April 21, at 2:00 p.m. followed by reception at 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467
