Lovingly surrounded by his family at home in Petrolia, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Elizabeth for 61 years.
Devoted and cherished father of Dr. Geoffrey Aiken (Nita) and Yvonne Curragh (Colin). Dearest grandfather of Julian Aiken (Galina), and Eric and Craig Curragh. Survived by his sister Lily. Predeceased by brothers James, Thomas and Andrew and sisters Sarah, Ann and Maggie. Sadly missed by treasured family and friends in Northern Ireland and Canada.
The Aiken family will receive relatives and friends from 6:30-9 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 and from 2-2:45 p.m. on Saturday September 23, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the chapel on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
