Condolences

Condolence From: Faye Dores (nee Blommestyn)
Condolence: There were three of us - me, Mary Geffros and Nancy Adams - best friends in the late 1950’s early 60’s. June was Nancy’s Mum. She was a wonderful lady and I remember the family well. Nancy’s family and mine lived on Hermie Place in Kitchener just a few houses from one another. June’s home was always immaculate and she was a very caring Mum to her kids. My condolences to the family.

Condolence: June and Ken were my neighbours, and I became very attached to June after her dear husband died. I kept in touch long after we moved to a different town. I always enjoyed her company, and we had many laughs together.
My sincerest sympathy to her family, I will miss her.

Condolence: I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all of the Adams’ family. There's such a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. Prayer is so valuable at this time but it's not that prayer simply makes us feel better. 2 Corinthians 4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget, but it means we recover. The reason we recover is because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28, "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection, this is our amazing hope that helps us recover and gives us power to go on. 2 Corinthians 1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort (Psalms 83:18) be your comfort now during this time of sorrow.

Condolence: Words don't really suffice.
Sometimes you meet a person and they stick in your memory. Maybe it's just their strength of character or their humanity or their obvious wisdom or possibly just their self-deprecating sense of humour.
Maybe it's just your sense that you would perhaps feel very fortunate having that person as your next door neighbour.
I met Ms. Adams only once in June of this year. She sat quietly in the next chair over while I knelt and visited with my mother-in law Dorothy for 20 minutes or so.
When I was introduced to Ms. Adams later that afternoon she observed as to her impressions about what she had overheard while sitting beside Dorothy.
We had a wonderful conversation. Over the balance of the afternoon I came to realize why I was so impressed with her children and grandchildren. Ms. Adams was a matriarch who obviously had a very significant and positive effect on her family.
As I said words don't suffice - I offer my very sincere condolences to all her family and friends.
