Adams, June (nee LaFlamme):
June 3, 1925 - December 2, 2017
It is with great sadness, that the family of June Adams announces her unexpected passing on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the age of 92. Dear mother of Jane Mullin (Bill), Nancy Nugent (Kevin), John Adams (Angela) and Paul Adams (Cleo). Loving grandmother of Kelly McNichol (Bill), Andrew Adams (Julie) and Tom Adams. Sadly missed great-grandmother of Aaron McNichol and Emily McNichol. Survived by sisters-in-law Jean Adams, Gabrielle Adams, Edith LaFlamme, and many nieces and nephews. June was predeceased by her devoted husband Ken Adams, parents Anthony and Aurore LaFlamme, sisters Frances Ziegler and Loretta LaFlamme, brothers Leonard LaFlamme, Hilaire LaFlamme, and brother-in-law George Adams. She was the last surviving member of her family. June had a deep and unwavering faith in God and she was a loyal member of St. Anne's Parish, in Kitchener. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and volunteering for various church functions. Also, she was a proud member of the Catholic Women's League for over sixty years. June had a strong devotion to her family, and she was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She was the heart of her family and her homemaking skills were second to none. She had a giving nature and an engaging sense of humour. June found something positive for each day, even in the face of her recent illnesses and pain. A special thank you to Father Larry Parent for his visits and support, to Lydia and Gordana for their care and friendship, and to the nurses and doctors on the sixth floor of Grand River Hospital. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, 268 East Avenue, Kitchener, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Following the mass, a reception will take place at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener, after the reception. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Vincent de Paul- St. Anne's Parish or the Canadian Food for Children would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
