passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Asela. Loving father of Humberto (Terri) and Edgar (Kerri). Proud grandfather of Jason Alves and Ryan Alves. Dear brother of Deolinda De Cuba Alves, Carminda and Joao Amorim and Fatima and Armando Martins. Survived by many nieces, nephews and relatives in Canada, Aruba, The United States and Portugal. Predeceased by his parents Augusto and Coustodia. Alberto was employed by JM Schneiders for 23 years, and was co-owner of New Dominion Bakery in Kitchener. He was an avid Blue Jays, Maple Leafs and Benfica Soccer fan. Alberto's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 and 7-9 pm on Friday October 9, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. (519)749-8467. Parish Prayers 3 pm Friday. Prayers will also be offered at the funeral home on Saturday October 10, 2015 at 11:20 am followed by a procession to St. John's Catholic Church, 85 Strange St., for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon.
