Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 83. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda for over 56 years. Cherished father of Michael (Robyn). He will be missed by other family members and many friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Mato and Katharina.
He emigrated to Canada from Croatia in 1958.
George was a dedicated employee for Pannill Veneer Company Limited for over 21 years.
George's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A service to celebrate George's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment Woodland Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation or a Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
