Gossman, Sherwood (Woody):
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 85.
Loving husband of Rhea (Shantz) for 57 years.
Beloved dad of Carol (John), Dennis (Lynn), Sheila and Sandy (Jim).
Cherished grandpa of Tanya (Paul), Wesley (Kirstin), Alex (Joanne), Bradley (Vanessa), Jeramie (Abby), Lisa (Tom), Leha (Ben), Craig and Ashley (Kyle).
Predeceased by his first grandson Shannon (2005).
Will be missed by his 14 great-grandchildren.
Dear brother of Delores, Leonard (Clare), Ken (Joan), Clara Ann, Martha (Noel) and Shurli. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters; Garnet, Jean and Harry.
Survived by sisters-in-law Grace, Norma (Lyle), Marjorie and Kay.
Also predeceased by his parents William and Mable (Geiger) Gossman.
Sherwood was a retired employee of J.M. Schneider after 41 years of service.
Woody also spent many hours in his garage fixing cars.
The family would like to thank St. Mary's Hospital, Grand River Hospital and CCAC for their loving care and compassion.
Sherwood's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5pm & 7-9pm on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held at Henry Walser Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Parkinson Society, Community Care Access Centre, St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
