QUINN, Mary Susan
Passed away the morning of October 5th, with family at her side, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by her daughters Ashley and Amanda, brothers Ed and Mark, sister-in-law Marilyn, niece Melissa and nephew Eddie (Jackie), great niece Eden, and her honourary son-in-law Bobby Mac Donald. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Bette Quinn.
Susie loved to laugh, dance, and most importantly, she loved to help others. Sue was always ready to welcome you with a smile and a hug. Susan was a devoted member of the Family and Children’s Services team and thoroughly enjoyed her role with all her co-workers.
Susan’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 10:15am, followed by a procession to St. Mark’s RC Church (55 Driftwood Drive, Kitchener) for a funeral mass at 11am. Cremation to follow. A reception will follow the funeral mass in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or Family and Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region would be greatly appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Califaretti, the GRRCC and CCAC nursing staff, and everyone on the Oncology floor of Grand River Hospital for their years of support and care for our mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
